Hot Weather Running Tips: How to Stay Safe and Get Motivated

07/11/2020 by Deanna +

It's getting hot in here. Actually...it's been hot. It's July. While I've written before about tips for running in the cold, I figured I would share some tips for running when it's hot. If I had to pick an ideal temperature for outdoor runs, it would be 50 degrees. I much prefer cooler temps to hotter ones. But with quarantine summer, running outdoors has been much more frequent and I also

Checking out Choolaah: Indian Eats in Pittsburgh

06/29/2020 by Deanna +

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to check out Pittsburgh's new Choolaah, located in Robinson Township. And it was tasty! What is Choolaah? Think Chipotle, but Indian food. I've only eaten Indian a handful of times but each time, I've loved it. There are several Indian restaurants in the Pittsburgh area, but none that I know of that are more fast-casual. "The Last Dance" took its last dance last night as this 10-part series by ESPN and Netflix came to an end. I'm so happy we had this to watch during quarantine because who doesn't love a good sports documentary? And this one of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls was a good one. Even if you're not an NBA fan. The music alone was great and nostalgic (you can catch the playlist on Spotify). And

Is COVID-19 the Tipping Point for Influencers?

05/15/2020 by Deanna +

There is no question that things have shifted during the past few months -- personally, professionally...everything. And while many businesses have pivoted (#1 word of 2020) in positive, impactful ways, one thing that's gotten much more attention than usual is influencers and influencer marketing. Between a lot acting tone-deaf to many partnerships paused and affiliate programs slashed or
