Is 2019 flying by or what? I can’t believe we’re almost in May. But May means summer is back, and I am a-ok with that. Here’s a look at what I’m into lately.
Travel Essentials
I’ve been traveling for work a lot, and I’ve got my packing down to a science. If I can keep it all with me, that’s another story though. See this tweet. When I am not losing track of all my belongings, I am loving this Everyone Roll-on Aromatherapy. I got a single one at Whole Foods for like $7. I roll some on my temples and smell it a bit before flights. At home, I like to diffuse lavender, peppermint or eucalyptus (or put peppermint on my temples when I have a migraine) so it’s nice to have a roll-on option for flights. Also essential: noise-canceling headphones, all the (healthy) snacks, water (preferably in a reusable bottle), and immunity-boosting powder.
Doing
- Daily Walks: One thing I try to make a point to do every day (or at least a few days a week) is to take a walk around lunchtime. When work and meetings get too busy, I can’t, but it’s so nice to take a 20-minute walk in downtown Pittsburgh where I work to get fresh air and Vitamin D and just disconnect for a few minutes. I do it year-round, so it’s been nice with this great spring weather we’re having, not the artic of winter.
- Faster Way to Fat Loss: I am in week four of this program and plan to share a full blog post recap later. Normally, I DO NOT participate in any internet program (aka MLM scheme, let’s be serious), but two bloggers I follow shared their experience and I thought it sounded interesting so six weeks ago I started intermittent fasting and then did the program officially March 25 (which really began April 1). I am LOVING it. Since I started with the intermittent fasting I’ve lost about five pounds so far, which is not easy to do on a 4’11 frame. Will share more in May! But I highly recommend checking it out.
Eating
- Zoe’s Kitchen: I ate Zoe’s Kitchen twice last week when I was in Texas. So good! It’s a healthy, fast-casual Mediterranean place. Please come to Pittsburgh.
- Pigeon Bagels: I cannot wait for Pigeon to officially open up shop this summer in Squirrel Hill. In the meantime, I’ve been loving the pop-ups.
Wearing
Fun earrings! I’ve been following Kilee of Nickel & Suede for years, and I’ve loved watching her grow her business into an Inc. 500 company, all while being a mom of five (!!) boys. I have a pair of the leather teardrop earrings in a plain beige, size medium, but I recently ventured out to these in spotted cork, size large. They are cute and super lightweight. I also bought them while bored, waiting in line at Chipotle, but that’s neither here nor there.

I doubt this coffee-and-cream chart is “tearing the internet apart” but I thought it was fun. I’m a C4 (sometimes B4), what are you?
