There are so many newsletters to subscribe to these days. Not to mention podcasts and informative social channels. So much to consume, so little time. So I thought I’d share some trusted newsletters I’ve subscribed to for a while (and some new ones). As someone who works across social media, traditional PR, and influencer marketing, it’s good to have a wide variety of things to read to keep up with not only the communications industry but business and pop culture.
Here’s what’s on my current reading list.
Ragan’s PR Daily Morning Scoop
I’ve been a subscriber to Ragan’s PR Daily for years, so when they started this Morning Scoop a year or so ago, I was glad to see a daily deep dive into what is happening in the world of communications. This breaks down the top news each day, such as companies taking a stance on social issues on social media, to crisis communications and trending topics. They break it down into bite-sized learnings that you can take from. And then on Twitter, they always post polls and more commentary on each morning’s #DailyScoop with the hashtag. A really great way to get the “scoop” (literally) quickly each morning.
Marketing Brew
If you have read this blog before, you know I am a big fan of The Morning Brew. This is a daily newsletter that’s gained so much traction over the last year or two – with business and finance news straight to your inbox. They have released more targeted versions, such as Retail Brew, and I have been loving Marketing Brew. This comes out three times a week, offering trends, creative campaign examples, industry news, and more. I also like following their account on Twitter.
PR Week’s Breakfast Briefing
PR Week has a similar format to PR Daily’s Morning Scoop, with the 5 essential things PR pros need to know each weekday morning (including more on people in the industry sometimes when there is news at bigger companies and agencies). They break it down high-level on Twitter, too. You just need to create an account to access it.
The Future Party
The Future Party is brand new to me, so I am excited to see what it’s all about. I learned about it in a Facebook Group I’m in, but it’s basically a guide to “sifting through the chaos on the internet.” Because the internet is a truly beautiful yet chaotic (and horrifying) place! It’s supposed to deliver meaningful business and entertainment news, curated and analyzed to help you stay relevant and succeed. I am pumped to start getting it (I literally just subscribed yesterday).
The Newsette
The Newsette is more of my daily fun read, but it has so many gems in it. It’s a five-minute read, more pop culture-focused (less celebrity, more “news you can use”) and my favorite part is the interview at the end with women in business. Yesterday’s was with the women behind Comments By Celebs, one of my favorite Instagram accounts. They also offer a lot of great product discounts.
What else should I add to my list?

I always start my day with The NY Times daily newsletter Morning Briefing! It’s a great way to ease into the day and catch up on the biggest stories – a good mix of everything that’s “newsy” beyond just politics!
